There's Gold in Them Thar Hills, Jimmy!

West Highland Way-Hey! Gold is to be mined again in Glen Cononish, near Tyndrum on the West Highland Way. I dragged Robin the whole 96 miles from Milngavie to Fort William in 1990 and can honestly say it's the wettest I've ever been in all my life! Needless to say, this was the only long distance footpath Robin's ever completed. More National Park headaches ahead. Jobs v Environment....

Endlessly Seeking Randy- Spanish Baby Snatching

Brilliant documentary on last night about the estimated 300,000 babies who disappeared in Franco's  Spain between the 1950s and 1980s. Church and state combined to redistribute them to more suitable/rightwing/ catholic/ married couples. Randy was a grown up Texan snatched baby seeking his Spanish family. Tragic stuff.
