RIP Lonesome George, last of the Galapagos Giant Tortoises. His whole subspecies is now extinct – the end of what is probably a 10 million-year-old line. Olympic Jubilee Challenge
I've just completed my 84 mile Inn Way to the Peak District Walk. What a great week we had- 10 walkers from as far afield as Netherton and Inverness, plus a supporting crew of 5 friends and family from Lichfield to Belfast...
