Wild Child

Peter The Wild Boy entertains.....More information on our "feral" friend on this link, which suggests Peter may have had a rare condition called Pitt-Hopkins Syndrome....

Peter The Wild Boy

Peter "The Wild Boy" was a feral child whop was "caught"  in a German forest and carted off to become a "pet" in the Court of George I in England in 1726. He became a celebrity of sorts and his grave in the churchyard of St Mary’s, Northchurch, near Berkhamsted  has now been given a Grade II listing......see all the details on this rather good site:

This one from a wee while ago...RIP to Patty Andrews, last of the Mohicans, I mean Andrews Sisters

Monopoly Boots Out The Flat Iron

How could they! The makers of Monopoly put the iron to the sword in an internet vote-off. And replaced it with a cat! A cat!

The Flat Iron was my 3rd favourite piece (No 1 The Top Hat, for a frustrated 10 year old Artful Dodger who got mumps) No 2 The Boot (favourite footwear, even back in the 70s). We played on a hand-drawn Monopoly board made by my Dad, with cardboard versions of the beloved iron etc and a cardboard spinner from a wartime Monopoly set. Nick (older brother) always bankrupted everyone by buying all the stations and utilities and putting hotels on the "scruffy end" of the board........
