The Old House At Home
London pubs are being sold and turned into houses. This one's The Old House at Home in Shadwell.....Great Auntie Lily Patchett had a pub with this name near Green Hammerton , North Yorkshire, and another called the Anchor Inn. I can find neither hide nor hair of the Old House at Home, but the Anchor's still there......

Oops! Last post for the Anglo Saxon Hoard found near Aylesbury, Bucks should have been coins from King Cnut and Ethelred the Unready, not Offa! ( Weekend Wanderers Metal Detecting Club found 5,000 silver Saxon coins four days before Christmas. The hoard is worth about £1 Million...)
